Gasoline is widely available and easy to transport. Propane is cheaper than gasoline and may be easier to obtain in emergency situations.
All combustion engines produce carbon monoxide (CO). Champion introduces a safety feature that monitors the CO buildup from the engine. When dangerously high levels are detected, the CO Shield lamp pulses red and the generator shuts off.
The sensor is designed to self-test automatically and has a lifespan of at least a decade. CO Shield meets the requirements of ANSI/PGMA G300-2018.
